An in-frame kitchen is the old way of making cupboards: a solid face frame with the doors set inside it, so every gap shows how well it was made. It takes longer to build than a slab kitchen, and it lasts as long as the house.
How we build them
Carcasses are birch plywood, frames and doors are tulipwood, drawer boxes are solid oak with hand-cut dovetails at the front. Everything is sprayed in the workshop, so the paint is hard before it reaches your house.
What a kitchen costs
A run of base units, a tall larder and a few wall cupboards, painted, with an oak worktop, usually comes to between £14,500 and £22,000 fitted. The drawing and quote are free; the price is fixed once you’ve said yes.
